Two semi-circular coins that complement each other.
Zsuzsanna Lorántffy (1602–1660) holds a significant place in Hungarian history, notably as the wife of George I Rákóczi, Prince of Transylvania, and the mother of the national hero, Prince Ferenc Rákóczi II. Born into the Hungarian nobility, she married George I in 1621, actively engaging in the political and cultural life of Transylvania alongside him.
Zsuzsanna is celebrated for her intelligence, bravery, and political astuteness, passionately advocating for the rights of Hungarian nobility against Habsburg influence. Her son, Ferenc Rákóczi II, later led a notable rebellion against Habsburg rule, famously known as Rákóczi's War of Independence in the early 18th century.
