Tivadar Puskás (1844 -1893) was a Hungarian engineer and inventor renowned for his advancements in the telephone exchange.
Puskás played a pivotal role in establishing the world's first public telephone exchange in Budapest, Hungary, in 1879. This breakthrough allowed multiple users to connect through a centralized system, laying the groundwork for modern telecommunications networks. Beyond telecommunications, Puskás made significant strides in water management, electric power distribution, and railway engineering, holding numerous patents for his innovations.
His pioneering work in telecommunications and technology cemented his legacy as a key figure in the field, with his contributions continuing to shape modern communication systems.
