Miklós Ybl (1814–1891) is hailed as one of the foremost Hungarian architects of the 19th century, renowned for his profound influence on Hungarian architecture and his pivotal contributions to shaping the urban landscape of Budapest.

Inspired by a variety of architectural styles including Romanticism and Historicism, Ybl swiftly gained acclaim for his innovative designs characterized by a seamless integration of historical motifs. His most prominent works include the Hungarian State Opera House, completed in 1884, the iconic St. Stephen's Basilica, finished posthumously in 1905, and the picturesque Castle Garden Bazaar (Várkert Bazár) nestled along the Danube River. These architectural masterpieces exemplify Ybl's meticulous attention to detail and his skillful incorporation of Gothic and Renaissance elements.

Depicts the bust portrait of Miklós Ybl. On the left, Miklós Ybl's signature is featured, while on the right, the engraver's privy mark is visible. Encircled by a pearl border along the edge of the coin, the upper inscription includes the birth and death years with his name separated by dots.

Depicts the Roman Catholic Parish Church of the Immaculate Conception in Fót. Encircled by a pearl border along the edge of the coin, the upper inscription reads "HUNGARY", while the lower inscription includes the denomination and the word "FORINT." Between the two inscriptions, the mintmark "BP" appears on the left, and the issuance year "2014" is on the right.
