Description

The 2018 World Wrestling Championships, the 15th edition of the combined events, took place from October 20 to 28 in Budapest, Hungary. The competition featured three disciplines: men's freestyle, women's freestyle, and men's Greco-Roman, each with ten weight categories, totaling thirty weight categories. Over 900 wrestlers from more than 100 countries participated in the event. Russia achieved its best overall result in the post-Soviet era, winning 10 gold medals, 1 silver, and 2 bronze. In Greco-Roman wrestling, Russian athletes delivered their best performance since 1990.

Obverse

Depicts the moment of a throw, a classic move in wrestling. On the left edge, the depiction of the flag of Hungary can be seen. In the middle section, the year of issuance, 2018, is readable. Inside the beaded edge on the right side, the semi-circular inscription "WRESTLING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP" is placed, and below the horizontal line, the inscription "HUNGARY" is located.
