Obverse

Depicts the main motif of the Year of Families, surrounded by building blocks forming a horizontal line. Below the line, in the center, the inscriptions "YEAR OF FAMILY" and "2018" for the year of issue can be read in two horizontal rows. Above the line, on the left side, is the engraver's privy mark.

Depicts a heart shape made of building blocks. Around the edge, in a semicircular inscription, the denomination and the word "FORINT" are at the top, while "HUNGARY" is at the bottom. On the left side is the year of issuance "2018," and on the right side is the mint mark "BP." Under at least tenfold magnification, micro-engraving matching the mint mark's letter becomes visible within the mint mark.
