Mohammad Nadir Shah (1883–1933) served as the King of Afghanistan from 15 October 1929 until his assassination in November 1933. Prior to his reign, he held positions as Minister of War, Afghan Ambassador to France, and a general in the Royal Afghan Army. He belonged to the Musahiban dynasty, and his son, Mohammad Zahir Shah, succeeded him as king.
