The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup, organized by the Union Cycliste Internationale, is a multi-round racing series that began in 1989 with cross-country events. It expanded to include Downhill in 1991 and Dual Slalom in 1998, which evolved into four-cross in 2002 before being discontinued in 2011. Riders earn points based on their event placements, with series leaders wearing a special jersey. The World Cup is broadcast globally on Red Bull TV. Replacements for discontinued events include the 4X Pro Tour and the UCI MTB Marathon series. The 2024 World Cup includes Olympic Cross-Country (XCO), Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE), Downhill (DHI), with Elite, under-23, and junior categories. Andorra will host the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships from August 28 to September 1 at the Pal Arinsal Bike Park in La Massana.
