Description

China–Pakistan relations, also known as Chinese-Pakistani or Sino–Pakistani relations, refer to the bilateral ties between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the People's Republic of China (PRC). Formal diplomatic relations were established in 1950 when Pakistan became one of the first countries to recognize the PRC over the Republic of China (ROC). Since then, their relationship has been exceptionally cordial, driven by similar geopolitical interests. Both nations have prioritized maintaining their "special relationship," marked by frequent high-level visits and numerous cooperative agreements. China has provided Pakistan with significant economic, technical, and military assistance, with both countries viewing each other as close strategic allies.

Obverse	Symbol, amulet, talisman Handshake Depicts a large "60" in the center with a handshake below it. On the hands are symbols: Pakistan's crescent and star, symbolizing progress and enlightenment, and China's five stars, with the largest star representing the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the four smaller stars representing the four revolutionary social classes as defined in Maoism. Reverse	Symbol, amulet, talisman Star and crescent Tree, flower, plant etc. Wheat Depicts a crescent and star and value above wheat ears, with country name written above in Urdu, and the date below, value in both sides. The star and crescent is an iconographic symbol used in various historical contexts but most well known today as a symbol of the former Ottoman Empire and, by popular extension, the Islamic world.
