Germany–Pakistan relations refer to the bilateral ties between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Diplomatic relations were established in the 1950s, focusing on social, educational, and economic development. Despite strong cooperation and historical connections, tensions have arisen due to differing policies and disagreements regarding the War in Afghanistan, including the post-2014 drawdown and the 2021 withdrawal of United States-led coalition troops. Germany remains one of Pakistan's largest trading partners. As of 2022, approximately 140,000 Pakistanis reside in Germany, according to official estimates.
