Depicts "The Creation of Adam" showing God reaching out with his finger to bring Adam to life.

This fresco, painted by Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512, is part of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling. It illustrates the Biblical creation story from the Book of Genesis, where God gives life to Adam, the first man. The fresco is the fourth in a series of panels that portray episodes from Genesis.

Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam" has been widely imitated and parodied, making it one of the most reproduced religious paintings in history.
