Crowned Christian X monogram around center hole, date, moneyers initials (GJ, Knud Gunnar Jensen, 1901-1947) below.

The crown depicted on the shield is a heraldic representation inspired by the crown of King Christian V. As the sovereign's crown, it stands as the most significant Royal and State symbol, embodying national sovereignty. Since 1671, Christian V's crown, preserved at Rosenborg Palace, has served as the Royal Danish crown. Crafted by Paul Kurtz in Copenhagen between 1670 and 1671, it is made of gold with enamel and table-cut stones, weighing a total of 2,080 grams. The crown also features two garnets and two sapphires, with the largest sapphire dating back to the reign of Frederick I of Denmark.

Center hole flanked by spiral ornamentation, country name and issue year above, mintmark, mintmaster initials and value below.

Mintmaster's initial: HCN (Hans Christian Nielsen, 1919-1927) or N (Niels Peter Nielsen, 1927-1955).

The heart (♥) is the Royal Danish Mint mark (h, Copenhagen). The use of the heart is a century-old tradition, originally indicating the mint master, later the place of minting. Today, the mint mark serves no practical purpose since Danish coins are minted in only one place.
