The series is dedicated to the European capitals (Belgrade, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, Vienna, Kyiv, Chișinău, Minsk, Prague, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius) liberated by Soviet troops during WWII.

On August 31, 1944, the Soviet troops during the Bucharest Offensive liberated capital of Romania from the German forces.

Depicts the Monument to the soldier liberator, which is erected on the military cemetery in the park Herestreu in Bucharest, on the background of contour images of Bucharest’s architectural buildings, below the date of the city's liberation: "AUGUST 31, 1944", above along the rim the city's name: BUCHAREST.
