Description

The series is dedicated to the European capitals (Belgrade, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest, Warsaw, Vienna, Kyiv, Chisinau, Minsk, Prague, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius) liberated by Soviet troops during WWII.

On May 9, 1945, the Soviet troops during the Prague Offensive liberated the capital of Czechoslovakia from the German forces.

Depicts the Monument devoted to the Soviet soldiers which was erected on Olshansky cemetery in Prague, on the background of contour images of Prague’s architectural buildings, below the date of the city's liberation: "MAY 9, 1945", above along the rim the city's name: PRAGUE.
