The year 2001 was added in Krause 2018 under KM# 65 with a note: "Not officially issued"; however, it's a pattern coin that has slightly different design and weight.

Obverse

Crescent and Star and date above wheat ears with "Islamic Republic of Pakistan" written above in Urdu.

The star and crescent is an iconographic symbol used in various historical contexts but most well known today as a symbol of the former Ottoman Empire and, by popular extension, the Islamic world. It appears on the national flag and state emblem of Pakistan.
