The Egyptian Arab Land Bank is one of the oldest banks in Egypt. It was founded in 1880 under the name of the Egyptian Land Bank and was co-founded by Moussa Kattawi, Raphael Soares and Robert Rollo.
In 1999, the Cabinet of Egypt issued a resolution of changing the bank's name to “Egyptian Arab Land Bank” to reflect the vision and role of the bank to be a part of supporting and developing Arab economies.
