The Misr Insurance Company was established by a royal decree issued on January 14, 1934 by the pioneer of the national economy Mohamed Talaat Harb, as the first Egyptian insurance company that contributed to breaking the monopoly of foreigners on insurance activities in Egypt. It is the second oldest Egyptian insurance company.
