The Egyptian Parliament building in the heart of Cairo holds historical and architectural value. This building has witnessed important events in the modern history of Egypt and the Procession of its national work, since its inauguration in 1924 to receive the first modern Egyptian parliament after the issuance of the 1923 constitution. Inside this building, the first session of the Senate and the House of Representatives was held on Saturday, March 15, 1924. This building is a living witness to the facts of political and parliamentary life in Egypt. The building carries a general artistic and architectural value, as it was built in a style that combined European architectural styles in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries with Islamic influences in architecture and the arts. The architectural design of the building consists of a round main hall with a diameter of 22 meters and a height of 30 meters, topped by a dome, in the middle of which is a circular part covered with glass. This part is topped by a rattle with a small low dome. The sistrum has four windows, and on the outside of the dome, there are prominent bands that represent repetitive, prominent decorative units. As for the center of the circle from the inside, it is surrounded by plant motifs representing the style that prevailed in the twenties at the time of construction. The hall consists of two floors, each with a balcony.
