Every mother deserves a collector coin. The touching Mothers collector coin is designed by pre-schooler Aleksei Kulagin, age 6. He named his winning drawing minted on the coin ”Mother brought me a balloon”. The balloon on the collector coin evokes celebration – when you have a party, you get balloons.
This collector coin is packaged in a clear protective casing, set in a collector coin box on which everyone can draw their own message to mom. The collector coin’s technical specifications are also printed on the box.
The maximum mintage is 10,000, and 100 coins will be numbered. The number is stamped on the coin's reverse, and the numbered coins will be mixed into the mintage at random.
This silver coin struck in Mint of Finland's factory in Vantaa is a part of the Finland 100 programme of the centennial year of Finland's independence. The collector coin has been granted the Key Flag Label of the Association for Finnish Work.
