Depicts the authority's logo inside a circle in the middle (a plumb bob in the centre surrounded by olive branches and a cogwheel below). The inscription "Newly Populated Areas Organization" above and "10th anniversary of Authority" below. Dates (November 1979 - November 1989) on both sides.

Plumb bob is used to check the verticality of structures. It contains a solid metal bob connected to the end of a thread. It is also used in surveying to level the instrument position.
