Description

The reverse design of the six coins (1 penny, 2 pence, 5 pence, 10 pence, 20 pence, and 50 pence) features a segment of the Royal Shield of Arms, which, when placed in the correct order, creates the full shield. The one-pound coin, on the other hand, has the complete shield of arms on its reverse.

The 2015 set was created to commemorate a change in the portrait.

In 2022, a special memorial coin set was released to mark the end of Queen Elizabeth II's 70-year reign and the start of a new era in the British monarchy. Each of the definitive coins bears a unique privy mark (26/22) on the obverse, which shows the Queen's birth year and the year of her passing.

Obverse	Crown, jewelry Diamond Diadem Person (king, queen, tsar etc.) Elizabeth II The fifth crowned portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the George IV State Diadem and drop earrings. The George IV State Diadem, officially the Diamond Diadem, is a type of crown that was made in 1820 for King George IV. The diadem is worn by queens and queens consort in procession to coronations and State Openings of Parliament. The piece of jewellery has been featured in paintings and on stamps and currency.
