Description

From Christmas to weddings, the sixpence has been associated with special occasions for centuries. It has long been tradition to include one in Christmas puddings or in the shoe of a bride fulfilling the traditional rhyme ‘Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe’. Symbolising luck and good fortune, the coin returns in 2023 and features a unique design in honour of the year of His Majesty King Charles III’s coronation.
