Original coins "Supporting the War Effort" 1943-1945 editions had a similar reverse design and message "We Win When We Work Willingly" engraved in Morse code on the rim of the coin. The rim of this edition is smooth.

Obverse

Fourth portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II, when she was 77 years old, facing right and surrounded by the inscription.

Letter P below the portrait is a composition mark for plated.

Dei Gratia Regina (often abbreviated to D. G. Regina and seen as D·G·REGINA) is a Latin title meaning By the Grace of God, Queen.

Reverse

Reproduction of a coin struck from 1943 till 1945. Depicts in a centre V, meaning both victory and the facial value with the inscription CENTS underneath flanked by two maple leaves, on which is superimposed a torch, with on the left the date 1945 and on the right 2005 and above the inscription CANADA.
