Description

With the fall of France in 1940 during World War II, Lebanon came under the control of Vichy France until the British and Free French occupied the country in the Syria-Lebanon campaign in July 1941.
Emergency coinage struck in Lebanon during WWII (1941) when the Paris Mint could no longer supply coins.

Regarding the second release of 1941, the exact date is challenging to ascertain due to the presence of a double obverse. Additionally, the strikes exhibit an offset axis. This might indicate an unmonitored trial during the regular production process.
