The engraver's initials below. The central image sits within the unmistakable gun barrel border that memorably appears at the beginning of every 007 movie.

"Octopussy" is the thirteenth James Bond film released in 1983, directed by John Glen and starring Roger Moore. The title is based on a short story by Ian Fleming, though the film's plot is mostly original. Bond is tasked with investigating a Soviet general stealing art, leading him to an Afghan prince, Kamal Khan, and the mysterious Octopussy. The film explores a plot involving nuclear weapons and received mixed reviews, earning $187.5 million against a $27.5 million budget.

In the pre-title sequence, Bond flies a Bede BD-5J aircraft through an open hangar. The nimble plane with collapsible wings was hidden in a horse trailer, and a dummy was used for certain shots. Filming inside the hangar involved attaching the aircraft to a car with a pole and adding obstacles to create the illusion of flight. The explosion scene utilized a miniature hangar, with the exploding pieces measuring only four inches long. The stunt, performed at over 150 mph, showcased practical effects in contrast to today's reliance on computer-generated imagery.
