Description

Celebrate 60 years of Britain’s favourite secret agent with a 007 collection dedicated to each era of Bond, comprising six decade-specific coins and a completer coin.

The James Bond film series is a series of spy films based on the fictional character of MI6 agent James Bond, "007", who originally appeared in a series of books by Ian Fleming. It is one of the longest continually-running film series in history, having been in on-going production from 1962 to the present (with a six-year hiatus between 1989 and 1995). In that time Eon Productions has produced 24 films, most of them at Pinewood Studios. Six actors have portrayed 007 in the Eon series.

Reverse

Depicts the Sean Connery era 007 sat in Little Nellie, the gyroplane from 1967's You Only Live Twice - the fifth Bond movie to hit cinemas. The titles of each Bond film of that decade make up the background, while the 007 logo appears at the base of the coin. The engraver's initials below. The central image sits within the unmistakable gun barrel border that memorably appears at the beginning of every 007 movie.

"You Only Live Twice," released in 1967, is the fifth James Bond film starring Sean Connery. Directed by Lewis Gilbert, it deviates significantly from Ian Fleming's 1964 novel of the same name, using only a few elements from the book for a new storyline. The movie features Bond piloting an armed autogyro designed by Q, engaging in aerial combat near a volcano where he overcomes four attacking helicopters.
