Description

Celebrate 60 years of Britain’s favourite secret agent with a 007 collection dedicated to each era of Bond, comprising six decade-specific coins and a completer coin.

The James Bond film series is a series of spy films based on the fictional character of MI6 agent James Bond, "007", who originally appeared in a series of books by Ian Fleming. It is one of the longest continually-running film series in history, having been in on-going production from 1962 to the present (with a six-year hiatus between 1989 and 1995). In that time Eon Productions has produced 24 films, most of them at Pinewood Studios. Six actors have portrayed 007 in the Eon series.

Reverse

Depicts the snow plane from "Spectre", in which Bond pursues Mr Hinx down the Austrian slopes to rescue Dr Madeleine Swann. The design includes the 007 logo as it appeared in the 2000s, along with the title of each 2010s Bond film in the background. The engraver's initials below. The central image sits within the unmistakable gun barrel border that memorably appears at the beginning of every 007 movie.

"Spectre," released in 2015, is the 24th installment in the James Bond series by Eon Productions. Directed by Sam Mendes and featuring Daniel Craig as Bond, it follows his battle against Spectre, an international crime syndicate led by Franz Oberhauser (played by Christoph Waltz). Despite initial hesitations, Mendes returned to direct after Nicolas Winding Refn declined. The film resolved the long-standing Thunderball controversy and marked the return of Spectre-related elements not seen since "Diamonds Are Forever" (1971). "Spectre" premiered at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2015, receiving mixed reviews but grossing $880 million globally.

In the 2015 film "Spectre," the Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander, a twin-engined high-wing propeller-driven monoplane, is prominently featured. Piloted by James Bond in Austria, the aircraft is used in pursuit of the kidnapped Madeleine Swann. During the intense chase sequence, Bond crashes the plane, causing significant damage: the landing gear collides with a car, the wings are torn off by trees, the tail is ripped off upon hitting snow, and the remainder of the plane is wrecked upon impacting a convoy of cars.
