In 2024, the Hungarian Pediatric Association celebrated its 100th anniversary. The 1920s saw a growing scientific focus on childhood diseases, leading to the establishment of specialized pediatric clinics, children's hospitals, and shelters across Hungary. In 1924, driven by Professor János Bókay Jr., the Hungarian Pediatric Society was founded and has been active ever since. Its mission remains the advancement of pediatric science and the enhancement of professional knowledge to provide the highest standard of care for children in need.
