Description

The six types of commemorative coins of 2014 year of issue, with nominal value of 200 Dram, are dedicated to non-fruit-bearing wild trees frequently met in the Armenian woods. The coins were put into circulation on 29 December 2014. Obverses of the coins depict the sprouts typical for each of the tree-type.

Obverse

Quercus araxina (often included as Quercus infectoria), date below. Quercus infectoria (Aleppo oak) is a species of oak, bearing galls that have been traditionally used for centuries in Asia medicinally.
