Description

The six types of commemorative coins of 2014 year of issue, with nominal value of 200 Dram, are dedicated to non-fruit-bearing wild trees frequently met in the Armenian woods. The coins were put into circulation on 29 December 2014. Obverses of the coins depict the sprouts typical for each of the tree-type.

Obverse

Populus tremula, date below. Populus tremula, commonly called aspen is a species of poplar native to cool temperate regions of Europe and Asia, from Iceland and the British Isles east to Kamchatka.
