Islamia College Peshawar (ICP) is a public university located in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Founded in 1913 by Sir S.A. Qayyum and Sir George Roos-Keppel, it is one of Pakistan's oldest higher education institutions, with its origins linked to the Aligarh Movement. The university offers programs in arts, languages, humanities, social sciences, and modern sciences. In 1950, the University of Peshawar was established as an offshoot of ICP, with the college becoming a constituent part of the new university. Initially established as Islamia College, it was granted university status by the Government of Pakistan in 2008, retaining "college" in its name to preserve its historical significance.
