Description

The America the Beautiful Quarters are a series of 25-cent pieces (quarters) issued by the United States Mint from 2010 until at least 2021.

The Mount Hood National Forest is 100 km (62 miles) east of the city of Portland, Oregon. The Forest includes and is named after Mount Hood, a stratovolcano.

Quarters are issued depicting designs of national parks and sites in the order of which that park or site was deemed a national site. Release date (national site date): November 15, 2010 (September 28, 1893).

Obverse

A head of George Washington, the first President of the United States, facing left.

Designer: John Flanagan (JF), 1932 version from a 1786 bust by Houdon / William Cousins.
