Description

The Egyptian Industries Products Company is an Egyptian joint stock company established by Talaat Harb by royal decree in October 1932 and started its activity in 1933 with six branches and a capital of 5,000 EGP. Currently, it is a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Tourism, Hotels and Cinema. It is one of the companies of the Ministry of Investment. The company has 70 branches in several parts of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Merged with Consumer & Apparel Company in 2018.

Obverse

Depicts the logo of Banque Misr (crowned bust of Cleopatra looking left) within wreath between the inscription "Golden Jubilee" and dates "1932-1982" above and "Egyptian Industries Products Company" below.

Banque Misr is an Egyptian bank co-founded by industrialist Joseph Aslan Cattaui Pasha and economist Talaat Harb Pasha in 1920. The government of the United Arab Republic nationalized the bank in 1960. The bank has branch offices in all of Egypt's governorates, and currency exchange and work permit offices for foreign workers in Egypt.
