Obverse

Depicts a glass of sparkling Prosecco and a plate of spider crabs, with a gondola, the Rialto Bridge and a composition of stylized waves representing Venice in the background. The country and region names above, and the name of the designer below.

Veneto or Venetia is one of the 20 regions of Italy. The region's capital is Venice while the largest city is Verona.

The Rialto Bridge (Italian: Ponte di Rialto) is the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Connecting the sestieri (districts) of San Marco and San Polo, it has been rebuilt several times since its first construction as a pontoon bridge in 1173, and is now a significant tourist attraction in the city.

The gondola is a traditional, flat-bottomed Venetian rowing boat, well suited to the conditions of the Venetian lagoon. It is typically propelled by a gondolier, who uses a rowing oar, which is not fastened to the hull, in a sculling manner and also acts as the rudder. The uniqueness of the gondola includes its being asymmetrical along the length making the single-oar propulsion more efficient.

Reverse

Depicts a detail from the Scrovegni Chapel showing the winged Lion of Saint Mark, against a background decorated with eight-pointed stars. The lower half shows a view of the Villa La Rotonda. The inscription FLAVORS OF ITALY above, date in the centre, value below.

The Scrovegni Chapel (Italian: Cappella degli Scrovegni), also known as the Arena Chapel, is a small church, adjacent to the Augustinian monastery, the Monastero degli Eremitani in Padua, region of Veneto, Italy.

The Lion of Saint Mark, representing the evangelist St Mark, pictured in the form of a winged lion holding a Bible, is the symbol of the city of Venice and formerly of the Venetian Republic.

Villa La Rotonda is a Renaissance villa just outside Vicenza in northern Italy designed by Italian Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. The villa's correct name is Villa Almerico Capra Valmarana, but it is also known as "La Rotonda", "Villa Rotonda", "Villa Capra", and "Villa Almerico Capra". The name Capra derives from the Capra brothers, who completed the building after it was ceded to them in 1592.
