The coat of arms of Somalia, adopted on October 10, 1956, features a shield embellished with the Somali flag, accompanied by two Leopards standing atop crossed spears. Positioned at the center of the flag is the Star of Unity, and a crown adorns the top of the shield. Completing the emblem are crossed spears underneath, entwined with a ribbon.

Penguins, members of the Spheniscidae family in the order Sphenisciformes, are aquatic, flightless birds mainly residing in the Southern Hemisphere. Adapted for ocean life, they have dark and white plumage, flippers for swimming, and feed on krill, fish, and squid caught with their bills. Penguins spend approximately half their lives on land and the other half in the sea. The largest species is the emperor penguin, standing around 1.1 m tall and weighing 35 kg, while the smallest is the little blue penguin, about 30–33 cm tall and 1.2–1.3 kg. Larger penguins prefer colder regions, while smaller ones inhabit temperate or tropical climates. Some prehistoric penguins were as large as adult humans, with diverse species in subantarctic regions and giants around 2,000 km south of the equator 35 million years ago.
